Alex Bescoby leverages his extensive international experience as a filmmaker, author, and strategic consultant to provide Conflict International’s clients with unparalleled insight into complex geopolitical environments. His work advising multinational corporations, governments, and NGOs on risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, and ethical operations gives him a unique perspective on mitigating reputational and operational challenges in high-risk regions.

Professional Background

Alex’s journey began with studying history and politics at the University of Cambridge. He then advised global natural resource firms on navigating political, social, and regulatory landscapes across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. In 2013, his expertise led him to Myanmar, where he advised the government on its natural resource framework and became a recognised expert on the country’s history and politics. Since 2019, Alex has continued to advise major multinationals on human rights, license-to-operate, and governance risks.
