The World Association of Detectives is the longest established and largest association of its kind within the industry with origins dating back to 1921. It aims to promote and maintain the highest ethical practices among its members.

In October 2017, Mike LaCorte was elected President of the World Association of Detectives and was Chairman of the organisation from 2018 - 2021. Roger Bescoby followed in Mike's footsteps was elected onto the board of directors in 2021.
