Conflict US VP qualifies as Active Shooter Survival Training instructor
Conflict International’s VP of US Operations, Michael Tapling, has qualified as a Certified Instructor for ALIVE Active Shooter Training and we’re pleased to announce this as a new service for US clients.
Active Shooter Survival Training is especially pertinent following a number of high-profile mass shootings that have taken place in 2022. Tragic events in Uvalde, Texas and Buffalo, New York have resonated around the world, but the sad fact is there have been more than 400 mass shootings in the US this year at the time of writing – almost two per day on average.
The training course offers invaluable first-hand information on how to respond in the event of an active shooter. From the warning signs of potential violence, awareness of your surroundings, evaluation of the situation and taking the best action necessary for your survival.
Michael said: “Active Shooter Survival Training is not structured or taught for any specific individual or company. It is designed for EVERY individual; company, church, day care, the list goes on. The ALIVE method allows you to be better prepared in the event of an active shooter, allowing for not only your safety, but the safety of others as well.”
He added: “Everyone thinks that a catastrophe such as the ones we have seen of late will not happen to them. Statistically speaking, that is not the case anymore and we need to be prepared. Always remember that failing to prepare is preparing to fail…Let’s get you prepared together!”
